What is this ZIP you speak of?
The ZIP file format is a popular and open data compression and archival format. We use it to speed up downloads and remove potential problems from the downloading process. Most computers already have the needed software to open ZIP files, but you can also select one from this handy list. More technical information about the ZIP format can be found here.
OK, so what's a TIFF then?
TIFF is a file format for storing images in a bitmap format. Nearly all popular image editing applications can open TIFF images—you can always use the free and open source GIMP application if all else fails. More about TIFF's here.
