What is an Imposed PDF? And how is it different from a Reading PDF?
Imposed PDFs have gone through the process of page imposition, meaning that the pages are not in linear order, but are instead arranged in the order needed for printing and reproduction. Our Imposed PDFs also have print-resolution graphics and correspondingly larger file sizes. On the other hand, Reading PDFs are meant to be read on your computer screen, with all pages in linear order with screen-optimized graphics for smaller file sizes and quicker downloads. If not specified, our PDFs are of the Reading variety. Learn more about imposition on Wikipedia.
What is a PDF and how do I use one?
The Portable Document Format is an open file format used to display integrated text and illustrations universally, optimized for the highest quality graphics with the smallest file sizes. You can download and open them in a PDF-reading program to view on screen and/or print out physical copies. All of our PDFs are print-resolution unless otherwise indicated.
