New Site-Specific Stickers: Vote Here

votehererestock

We’ve produced a new sticker to express the national mood about the upcoming election. Reading “VOTE HERE” with an arrow on patriotic red, white, and blue, it’s the perfect addition to trash cans, toilets, sewer drains, and other waste disposal sites. These are 4″ wide, printed on paper stickers (as opposed to vinyl) so as to be difficult to remove, and feature a QR code directing the curious to a new webpage discussing why democracy is bankrupt. They are available in quantities from 25-1,000, and, of course, one sticker comes free in every order from our online store.

We’d love to expand our photo gallery depicting these in action. If you see these stickers in use anywhere clever, please take a picture and email it to us, or better yet tweet it with the hashtag #votehere.

We gave away 1000 of these in a single day at last week’s Bay Area Anarchist Book Fair and we anticipate them going quickly. We’ll follow these up with a poster series in time for May Day.

  1. Very interesting take on things….I’ve read your propaganda and what you encourage is NOT ANARCHY. What you are so adamantly trying to sell is a socialistic cooperative….It will never work. The reason government has failed is humans are inherently selfish. Man requires government to exist, but that government is destined to become corrupt as those in power seek their selfish desires. You think man will voluntarily cooperate with each other? You talk of tribal nations existing for thousands of years, disputes settled within the tribe or between tribes….How do you think this was done? A tribal chief had ultimate power in disputes. If settlement could not be reached through arbitration, combat, tribal vote; it was settled by word of the chief. From the very beginning, someone was always in charge. It worked? As times became more complicated and populations increased the need for more evolved government arose. Man is flawed and any of our creations will be the same. We are our OWN DOOM.

  2. You’ve just spelled out perfectly the mythology imposed by Hobbes and subsequent defenders of hierarchical power. But where did you learn this? Are you an anthropologist, for example, or have you spent considerable time in other societies? My guess is you’re regurgitating the propaganda you’ve been raised on, without a lot of your own experience to confirm it.

In fact, one need not go back in time or to the other side of the world for examples of people voluntarily cooperating. We are partisans of autonomy and mutual aid because they work for us in our own relationships, in this collective as well as other contexts. We know firsthand that voluntary cooperation is possible and fulfilling, and that open conflict is preferable to imposed order in a worst case scenario.

  3. Hahahahahaha….I’ve bought into the propaganda, and what do you say about yourself? I spent 12 years in the military and visited many countries. I have obeserved many cultures including 3rd world and tribal. There is always conflict, and whatever existing governmental body there is always resolves it. AND THERE IS ALWAYS A GOVERNMENTAL BODY…..If you think people will coexist in a cooperative, mutually beneficial society, you are delusional. We are aggressive and violent by nature. Where did I learn this? I have a Masters in criminal justice and abnormal psyche. If you’re so the Anarchist, why don’t you join a commune or buy some property somewhere and live off the land….Oh wait, that would mean involvement with the government.

  4. If you”ve been in the military for 12 years and that was how you saw the world–if your studies framed human relations through the lens of “criminal justice” and abnormal psyche,” then it’s absolutely not surprising that you wouldn’t be able to see how much of human relationships is egalitarian and cooperative. Your perspective is a result of your conditions, just like anyone’s.

You can be sure that that those who have embarked on other life paths have had other experiences. They may even have something to tell you about what else there is to see in the world.
