The Book’s in the Mail

bigmailordersmall.jpg

It was a crazy day here at the Far East HQ—mailorder action from dawn til dusk. The books arrived at 9am, we started a big ol’ fire in the mailorder room to take the 36º chill off, and there was no letting up until we dropped off the packages at the Post Office at 7:23 PM with only seven minutes to spare. In a mailorder melee for the ages, we got more than 150 orders done today, filling 15 USPS mail bins and requiring two trips to the post office. Every order that came in before 5:00 PM PST Monday was mailed out today and the books are currently speeding their way to anxious hands. We’re excited beyond any words for people to finally see these books; let us know what you think when they arrive.

Hi all
Nice work people, all your efforts are soon to be rewarded! So you must find time to relax from all the graft, i know we all want the books, but too much work….
Right now i will blockade my letter box making sure only Expect Resistance makes it through. Good luck with the book.

I love th smell of a fresh-clean-new-book. The extras were a nice surprise….thank you. I really enjoy the hand written letter-pressed bookmark also….thanks for all your effort.

We love that smell too, and it’s a good thing because whenever we get a book delivered the whole house smells like that for a week or so. “Nothing like the smell of soy ink in the morning.”

I did think to myself that finding the smell, look and feel of a new book was a little strange, but mostly harmless. It would seem i am not alone. What is this consumer fetishism all about? Do i need psychological help to stop me from having a sniff of the pages of Expect Resistance when it arrives? I feel a little nauseous now. Does Chomsky like the smell of a new book? He puts enough out, maybe that’s what keeps him going? I need to get out more, maybe take a walk in the woods, smell the trees!

Beautifully printed book. It’s interesting that y’all chose to reprint all of those old Harbinger articles but in a new context. I look forward to reading it and seeing if I draw new things from those articles this time around, in their new surroundings…

Got mine!!! Thank you. Just in time for the holiday, a present to myself you could call it. And now I’ll just stay in my room for days and read.

So lovely.

And the free extras were great, and they’ll be put to use.

What an incredible book. It’s difficult to judge having only finished 1/3 of it, but this looks like it will squeeze past Recipes for Disaster as my favorite Crimethinc book. It’s really beautiful and the construction of the spine is genius. It’s a really inspiring read. I loved it.

In the past I’ve read Crimethinc stuff more out of curiosity than genuine passion. I would never have recommended a Crimethinc book to anyone. But I’m seriously considering by the book in bulk so as to facilitate the fanatical peddling of Expect Resistance that I will no doubt be doing for some time.
